I have always collected stuff, and in recent years I have obsessed a bit about books - photography books to be more precise. I've quickly learned that originals are very collectable and rare and as such, expensive!
Anyway, I've sourced one or two books from second hand book sellers (mainly originating from America it seems) and one of the better websites is Abe Books. It's a one stop shop for various sellers, kind of like an Amazon for second hand collectables.
I found a pretty rare Martin Parr book (well hard to find in hardback) on Abe Books called Think of Engalnd, which I'd been after for some time. It came and is in excellent condition. In fact I have one or two Martin Parr books, including the recent 'No Worries' from his tour of Fremantle, Australia which is limited signed first edition and also a very limited (1000) , signed first edition of 'Life's a Beach' which Martin talks about in this video on Vimeo.
I have other book by David Bailey, Bob Carlos Clarke and Rankin which I take great pride in owning. I will start some posts in the main blog and use this page to kind of catalogue each of them, along with some words of my own.
